With other users: When you complete a booking, the host and renter share necessary information to facilitate the transaction (names, messaging).

(payment processing) and our cloud hosting provider(s). Some of these providers may be located outside Canada, including in the United States. When your data is transferred outside Canada, it remains subject to the laws of the receiving country. We ensure that appropriate contractual protections are in place before any such transfer.
For legal compliance: When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We implement industry-standard security measures including 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption and regular security audits. Payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe, Inc., which maintains PCI DSS Level 1 certification - the highest level of payment security certification available. We do not store, transmit, or process card details directly. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or regulatory compliance (for example, transaction records for tax or dispute purposes).
